Now, I am definitely a meat eater and I'm a little fuzzy on the difference between slaughtering animals for their meat, and slaughtering animals for their fur (as long as they are not skinned alive and are slaughtered as humanely as slaughtering can take place). I do know that I feel pretty icky about this whole fur thing. Why does J. Crew need "tacky pom-poms" on shoes and fur trimmed hoods on puffer vests? It seems rather excessive. Plus, according to PETA, J. Crew had pledged in the past not to use real fur for it's product line. What happened to that? A little taste of high profits and we throw our standards out the window?

you should protest.
PETA drives me insane. Do we even have any fur at our store that's not shearling?
peta's heart is in the right place. some of their methods are a bit extreme, though. sometimes that's the only way to get anyone to listen.
but anything that tries to get us to take a closer look at our excessively indulgent lifestyles is o.k. in my book.
