Little miss sunshine

I love, love, love being here! Yeah I get to work at 6:45 a.m. and find it very difficult to leave before 5:30 p.m., yeah we don't have any money yet and spend our free time in our apartment, in the pool, or taking walks (okay, so that doesn't sound bad), and yeah it's hot...but I still love it. I love my job and get up happily at 5:30 each morning. I welcome all the work I have to do after years of working multiple jobs and going to school full time. I love have a classroom to myself and a group of truly sweet kids. I love driving to work with beautiful mountain backdrops and discovering mountain preserve recreation areas simply by driving toward a mountain. I love walking everywhere I need to go (except work).

I got my first paycheck on Friday...naturally we went out to celebrate. We walked over to VooDoo Daddy's for some cajun grub. Well...really I got a regular cheeseburger, but Dave and Dan sampled some cajun goodies...spicy. After dinner we walked over to half-price books where I bought a $10 collection of Frank Sinatra. I win! Then we rounded out a splendid evening by watching The Anchorman...hilarious. Saturday and Sunday were nice, and pretty lazy...went swimming Saturday night. It's just awesome.

Oh tiffin, don't worry...you don't have to meet any of them...or eat any of them.

Before we can have another all day trip to the South, we may need to find a doggy sitter...that trip home was truly awful.
