Breton Village D&W is my new favorite store. Have you ever tried their beef dip? It's delicious. And now that all (mostly) D&Ws have become Family Fares, I had given up hope of ever enjoying this tasty treat again. I like to spread it on tortilla shells to make little finger sandwiches. Stemshul likes to eat it with tortilla chips. Anyway, last time I had a craving for it I swung the closest D&W to us and found that they were closing early to make the change over. I searched for my beloved dip and did not find it. I went back after the change over and still did not find it. A couple weeks ago I had to make a quick stop to the nearest grocery store after school. This happened to be Breton Village where I happily discovered they had not become Family Fare AND they had my beef dip!!! Friday night hubby and I went grocery shopping and decided to stop out at the Village to pick up some more. We asked the young-ish cashier why they didn't become Family Fare and she said they did, they just didn't change the name. I think scared her when I asked "Are you still going to have the beef dip?" in a deep voice (according to Stemshul). Finally tonight, as the boys were watching Final Fantasy (yawn) I decided to pick up some Krispy Kremes. Being that it was 9:30 when I pulled up to the drive-thru and the sign said they closed at 9, I sadly drove away. To make a long story less long, yes, my new favorite store had Krispy Kremes, and even though they didn't taste as good as the real thing they certainly got the job done.
Oh yeah, it's mustache month...scary.
