Changes

Well, I did it. I quit work as of today. I feel really great about this decision, especially knowing that baby Jack will be here by Monday. That's right, I am being induced Monday at 9am if he decides not to arrive before then. It's weird...kind of like getting your braces taken off or something. I have an appointment to have my baby. Anyway, I'm very excited. And taking these extra couple days off of work is allowing me to rest up and actually be excited instead of just anxious.

I love the fall...too bad we don't have it in Phoenix. We're still reaching highs of 100 regularly and of course there are no color changes to speak of. Once we leave this city that burns with the heat of a thousand suns I'll be glad. I used to get so pumped up this time of year...the smell of the air, the leaves changing color and blanketing the ground, long walks in the woods. Now it's like those things don't exist. I never thought I would care about weather and climate so much. Hopefully for Jack's first birthday we'll be enjoying some fall weather and activities!
