I think I've discussed getting a summer job on the old "dear diary" here. The leading idea was to apply at REI, a sporting goods store near our place. I really wanted to teach some summer school, but all the opportunities required me to create my own syllabus. I'm just not in to that for now so I didn't inquire into summer school any further. Today I got some info about a third grade reading class and it turns out that all curriculum will be provided. So I signed up! Yeah! No retail for me this summer. Although I will have to drive about the same distance as I do now (walking to REI would have been nice), I will be close to my school where I'll need to drop in occasionally anyway. The only disappointment is that I'll be missing a super awesome roller skating party on Wednesday night to attend a training session.
