I don't feel tardy
No, I'm not dead...although I feel dead. This is that lovely time of year that teachers always talk about hating. And I'm here to tell you that it's all true! The kids are all either sick, tired, or don't want to be there. I don't want to be there...and I'm sick...and I'm tired. I can't seem to fall back into a rhythm in my class. Then there's this kid, let's call him D. So we've been in school for a whole 109 days and D has, count 'em, 72 tardies. He also has been absent 5 times...so out of 109 days of school, he's only been in his seat at the bell 32 times. Now, this is mostly not his fault...mom drops him off in the morning whenever she feels like rolling out of bed. It's just so frustrating and it's very disruptive for the rest of the class. Ah well...it's almost the weekend and then I'll have a chance to rest up and come back energized and bright-eyed on Monday, ready to mark D tardy.

just keep thinking about those weekends and holidays...too bad you guys don't get rodeo weekend up there.
and just think of at the end of the year when you get rid of all of them...i mean when they all look up at you with their gooey sticky faces and cry b/c you won't be their teacher anymore.
Make a detention slip filled out to his mom and send it home with him! That'll teach 'em
Just in case anyone was wondering, here's an update:
This past week, D was absent Monday, an hour late on Tuesday, and absent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
