Weeee!!

Wow...in the words of stemshul, "what a difference a day makes!" Yeah, so as of this morning I am definitely/tenatively planning on "subbing" every day in the same school in the same classrooms for 150 school days! The details are still a little fuzzy, but here is the clarification that I have:

I start next Thursday in the 2 third grade rooms and support them every day through the end of MEAP.

I say "subbing" because I'll be more like a para-pro but because of hourly restrictions there I'll be considered a sub. I'll be working with small groups of students to prepare them in English Language Arts and in Math for the MEAP.

After the MEAP is over, I will most likely move to the 2 first grade rooms and support them in daily activities until my 150 days are up or until the jig is up.

I say 150 days instead of the entire school year (about 180 days) because after 150 days you are considered a full time employee and they don't want this.

Finally, the part after MEAP is all dependent upon someone in the administration not having a problem with paying for a sub everyday or until the money runs out. But as it stands now, it sounds like I have real school job for this year!! Yeah!!! Thanks again to all of you for all the encouragement and well wishes, it means a lot to me!
