I went grocery shopping on Saturday and bought milk that expired the day we leave for our cruise. I'm pretty much just biding my time until April 3rd. I'm all but finished student teaching...can you believe it?? And come 7pm on March 30th, I'm free! Free to pack and get ready and clean the house and plan our shore excursions. I'm super excited about this vacation, I think that's obvious...but I'm really sad about flying (yes I'm Strongsad). Seriously though, one of my favorite things about our vacations is the road trip there. Planning it out, kicking off my shoes, and singing loudly and awfully in two part "harmony" to our favorite songs. At those times, driving in the car with my very best friend to some excellent destination, I think I am happier than ever. Last spring I desperately needed to get the hell out of Grand Rapids, so in April Stemshul and I took a somewhat spontaneous roadtrip up north. A few hours in I decided to start documenting all sorts of meaningless things like the time at which we entered a new city, any little inside joke or funny comment, the time of CD change and name of the new CD, time and our location at sunset...etc. It was at this time that I decided to start a blog. Originally it was going to be a log of our vacations and road trips...then I never started it and eventually decided to start a regular-type blog. I'm sure I still have that wacky roadtrip log somewhere, I'll have to post it someday.For the record...my blog now allows anonymous comments.
