I had the best time yesterday. Hubby and I kicked off the morning with cereal and a 3 mile dog walk. That was awesome...it's so hard to handle those two crazy dogs alone, yet so pleasant when you only have one dog. Next we headed out to do some window shopping before lunch. Since lunch was being provided for us we had to wait until 1:30 pm to eat, even though we were crazy with hunger by noon. I was so tired of walking around by 1pm that I suggested we get in the car and drive around. This proved to be uneventful until we decided to get a car wash to kill 15 minutes so that we would show up only 15 minutes early rather than half an hour. Now, I don't know how many of you have ever tried to get a car wash on a Sunday afternoon, but I'm telling you it was next to impossible. No one was open! (Not even Noone). By the time we figured out that everyone was closed, we were dangerously close to being late for lunch instead of 15 minutes early. So we made a b-line to the Olive Garden and had a delicious lunch.
After a little Disney choreography on the ice, I drove on over to On The Border to meet Stemshul, Shedu, and Ugly. Our mission: to eat, drink, and be merry for 2.5 hours before the start of our movie. OTB is my new favorite mexican restaurant. The food is amazing, and the service is great. Even the desserts are delicious...but then, who doesn't enjoy dessert? I think our server was concerned at first because we were a tad loud and it was made clear that we would be around for a while. Stemshul tried to alleviate her fears by saying, "Don't worry, you'll be compensated." Isn't that what you say to a hitman? It was just one of the many pearls of wisdom that came from his mouth while we were dining. Anyway, 2.5 hours and $150 later, I must say, mission accomplished! We waddled through the nicely decorated yet eerily empty courtyard in order to reach our 10:05 showing of V for Vendetta. Even though I nearly fell asleep, the movie was pretty good. Definitely worth seeing. All in all, a wonderful evening. You are all cordially invited to our next movie night.
