it was the bee's knees

...the mario kart tournament that is. While a little smaller and more intimate than in past years, there was certainly no lack of excitement. Many times the audience was more engaged than the drivers. It was a ton of fun and we got a ton of pictures. And the most awesome trophy ever was won by shedubeard when he beat his li'l brother.

After the tourney we played a rousing 12-person game of catchphrase, the best group game ever. And slowly, couples started to drop out like Ashley and Brian, then Matt and Apryl, then shedubeard and the Jew, and Jenna and Pheesh until only the fantastic four remained. One of us sure won the trophy for staying up the longest and trying to describe the most words. Whoever won, we all lost.
