Jeepers

We are once again looking for a new vehicle. I don't think I ever posted about this, but last year in January we went out just to see if we could get any good deals and we ended up exhausted and furious. We were flat out lied to several times and one salesman started stalking me. Believe me when I tell you I was not exactly looking forward to doing this again. But...we need a more family-type vehicle that will be good for baby and dogs.

I have always wanted a Jeep Cherokee so we started looking for used ones. The problem is, people love these things, rightly so, and they keep them forever. They also stopped making the Classic Cherokee in 2001. We drove a 2000 and it just seemed so old! It's only three years older than our truck which still feels new to me. The ones that are really nice and have had only one owner are gone as soon as they hit the lot/internet. So, of course, we decided to see what kind of newer models Jeep had to offer.

First we looked at the Liberty, which we thought would have been comparable to the Cherokee. The front end was all chunky and I didn't really like it at all. It looked kind of like a baby hummer. Then we saw a commercial for the Patriot which we thought looked even more comparable to the Cherokee. We test drove one Thursday and really liked it. We got out of there before they could sink their claws into us (had to make it home for our shows anyway). We made an appointment to come back tonight. Last night we decided to look at a Ford Escape hybrid which we soon discovered is very hard to come by. We drove a non-hybrid Escape anyway and it was nice. What to do tonight? I'm not sure...
