...bringing good cheer

Well I did it...I braved the Black Friday shopping experience. It really wasn't that crazy, I only went to Kohl's and Target. The craziest thing about the experience was waiting in line for an hour at Kohl's. And by the time I got to Target to pick up my $4.50 mini-crockpot I didn't even have to wait in line. I'm not sure how much money was actually 'saved', I wasn't out for any big ticket items. I think if I were to have the funds to get all the Christmas shopping done during that time some money might be saved. Really though, this is America...we don't save our money, we get MORE for it.

We watched A Charlie Brown Christmas last night. I was surprised when I opened the Netflix envelope to see that it was only 25 minutes long! It makes sense when I think about it...the childrans don't have very long attention spans. Same thing with How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I guess when you're little things seem to take a lot longer...movies, car rides, the passage of time in general. I can remember waiting for Christmas morning or the start of a birthday party and it was like torture! Now things all move too fast...including the passage of time. If you ask Maryanne, I'll be dead tomorrow.
