bite the bullet

Why do I find it so difficult to sit down and write during the school year? Ah well, I guess I should be glad that things are back to normal now...having the summer off was too much time to think, although it was also a much needed break.

I've been having weird dreams lately...about going back to work at j.crew, about The Office ~ in this dream I actually said "Pam-a-lamma-ding-dong" apparently in imitation of Michael, and of course about school.

I borrowed the seventh and final book of the Harry Potter series from a woman at work. I'm kind of sad to finish it...I've been getting to know the books all summer and now I don't want it to end. I'll be reading it slowly anyway...not much time to read for fun anymore.

The first two weeks of school were really tough. They wiped all my energy and every waking moment is spent thinking about school. I just can't turn it off.

I want to wish both Ted, and Jenna and Brett good luck in Florida! Hurricane season is always the best time to move to Florida, I say.

Like I do

Where did the summer go?

I read Harry Potter 1-5 and am now halfway through 6. I also finished Digital Fortress...yawn.

I saw Pirates 3, Spiderman 3, Transformers, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in the theater.

I watched many a Netflix including the Indiana Jones trilogy, and made it through 7.5 seasons of Friends.

Oh yeah, we moved.

I cut yards and yards of laminated materials, made 17 file folder games, and planned centers for the coming school year.

I walked the dogs every day and did a lot of remedial training with them.

I went to Vegas for the second time in my life.

I went to a Diamondbacks game.

I watched fireworks from atop a mountain.

I celebrated my 26th birthday and my 6th wedding anniversary.

I passed my Arizona educators exams.

I got my hair cut.

I laid by the pool.

I am now about 13 hours away from starting my second school year and I am really nervous and anxious...they're just kids right?

How to save a blog:

Step 1: Write even if you're busy and don't feel like it.

Step 2: Keep it simple...stupid.

Next: (I don't think there is a step 3 in the song, hell, there may not even be a step 2) Constant Vigilance!

Fourthly...I don't know what I'm saying. I went to Vegas for a conference...it was okay, certainly not as fun as it was in May. I saw more new things though and ate at Margaritaville and Wolfgang Puck's. Then I had Academy which was in town and BEGIN which was in town. I go back Monday...see you next summer!
