Karma.Yes, that's what it was. After bragging about my supersweet long weekend, the Karma gods were displeased with me and decided to teach me a lesson. This "weekend" I attended a surprise/emergency/impromptu Structured English Immersion training class. It basically is a free course offered and required by our district in which we learn strategies to help us teach English Language Learners. There was some confusion over the official date that I received my Teaching Certificate that led me to believe I wouldn't be taking this course. On Wednesday, I found out that I could in fact take this free course and so there went my Thursday and Friday evenings and of course the major part of my Saturday. It was all good though, my trainers were great...they kept it lively and totally cut the crap out. So...at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, let my weekend officially begin!
