GRO day 1
Hokey Pete! Talk about action packed, busy, hectic days...I arrived at the ice arena this morning at about 8:15. AM practice sessions were under way and my first task of the day was taking a look at the spins and spirals in the short programs of those girls practicing. Next was testing...I helped the test chair run the session which began at 10am and went until 2:30pm. My fave part...playing the dance music...I got to sit in the freezing cold penalty box and play the same elevator-type music over and over for about 2 hours. My first competitors arrived around the time testing was finishing up. I got them all ready, pried them away from their moms, and brought them to the zamboni end of OLY. They skated 2nd, 4th, and 5th and placed 7th, 9th, and 4th. Fourth place at least wins a medal. We're hoping for better skates tomorrow...but I'm not so sure. Next task of the day, getting dinner ready in the Pro's hospitality room at 4pm. We had, as always delicious donations from area restaurants. Tonight's dinner was chicken marsala from Carraba's. They also donated this delicious chocolate mousse/brownie dessert that ended up all over my pants but in my tummy as well! Clean-up took us until 9:30pm and we have to do it all again tomorrow. I'm going to be so exhausted by saturday evening that I don't know if I'll make it home. Hmmm...maybe I'll have to fashion some sort of device to the car that holds a piece of that mousse out in front of me...I'd make it somewhere then...

Okay...so the mousse didn't actually look anything like the picture...and after doing some (very little) research I discovered that it's called the Chocolate Dream...and it was...I'll being dreaming about it tonight and probably have it for breakfast tomorrow.
Hahahaha. Now say the title like you were a valley girl. Heres an example of how to use it in a sentance: Oh my god, did you fart again Shedu?!?!?! That was a ______!
Not quite as fun as talking like a pirate, but still good.

Damn it.
You don't get to go home. You have a kick ass party to go to. Nothing a little sangria won't fix though and maybe a little Catch Phrase to go with it.
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!
Thanks crazymom...we should celebrate together next year!
Sounds like a plan to me!
