Contoured as if to say...let's do this!

Thanks for the shout out Amber...I'm not dead either. Much has happened...J. Crew has stopped carrying fur, Green Friday has come and gone, I received my student teaching placement, and tonight was my last night of Happy Valley classes for the year! I'm pretty psyched about all that...some might call it over-optomistic, but I think I'm just happy. Evidently, protesting and being loud helps you get your way. So I would like to commence my protest and boycott of Wendy's:

Recently, Wendy's began running a T.V. ad claiming that now you can personalize your burger. "Great!" I think to myself, because they usually charge you for adding cheese to their Classic Single. So on Friday night between skating and the crew, I make a stop at my local Wendy's. Already having a suspicion that my 'add cheese' will not be complimentary, I order a number 1 with cheese and a mountain dew ($3.99 pre-tax). The DR-T girl asks if I want to add 50 cents for Holiday Round-up and I say "Sure." She tells me my total is $5.15. Now, by my calculation, $3.99 x 1.06% = $4.23 + $0.50 = $4.73. So when I inquire about this, she says, "Yeah, and it's 40 cents for cheese," as I'm staring at a sign that boasts "PERSONALIZE YOUR BURGER!!" So I challenge her with that...after a long pause, I offer, "Cheese is not included in that?" "No," she says rather sarcastically. So, because I'm not good with confrontation, I think bad things but mutter "Whatever," and drive up to pay for my burger, cheese, pop, and cold fries. At least the mountain dew was good. So right here, right now, I am beginning my boycott of Wendy's and their false advertising. What they should really say is "Now you can take things off your burger for no extra charge! (Just like you always could before...wink...wink)." I'm asking all of you to join me in boycotting this heinous company until they join other cheese concious companies such as McDonald's and Burger King, and stop charging consumers for adding cheese to their dry, square burgers.

I encourage you to contact Wendy's and tell them about your dissatisfaction:

Um, if they need to charge $.40 for cheese, I think they need a new supplier...
