And don't forget...

Happy Birthday Dave! You're the best husband a girl could have!

Vacation!

I'm pretty much packed, just those few things I still need to get ready with tomorrow. Dave's picking me up at noon to take me to the airport. Yay! I'm so excited for my little vacation. Here's hoping for cooler weather...and maybe some rain! I'm going to miss my hubby and my doggies. They'll have a fun time just being "boys"...Dave doesn't even have meals for the next few nights, I don't want to think about what he'll be eating. Oh he can cook, very well actually, he just won't because he doesn't have to! I take that back, he did buy some easy cheese...ah, sustenance.

Summer time

Ah summer, aside from being excessively hot again things are going alright. I'm done with summer school and team planning and don't really have any other school obligations until July 30 and 31 when I have Zoo Phonics training. I do have jury duty on Monday which sucks. But then on Wednesday I'm off to GR for a visit! I'm so excited, I'll have almost a week to hang out and see people. I'll miss Dave and my doggies, but I'm not too worried...now that Dan's back in town I'm sure they'll hardly even notice I'm gone. Then when I get back, Jenna is staying for a few days...I don't know why anyone would want to come to Phoenix now. I suppose if you wanted to feel what it would be like to live in an oven...

It seems to be going fast and my head is spinning with all I want to get done before school starts. Because once it does, I don't think there will be much spare time to get ready for the baby. We have signed up for a "birth crash course" at the hospital in the beginning of August. I'm trying to finish my pregnancy books so I can start on books that talk about what the heck to do once you have a real live baby. I know this can't all be learned from books, but it's all I can do now to feel I've done my best to prepare. My loftiest goal, however, is to have my lesson plans at least outlined for the first two semesters of school. The point of this is to reduce stress before the baby is born and to be prepared for a sub for 9 weeks after the baby is born. I think I can do this without much trouble, the question is how bare will the outline get as I get further into the year. So much to do, so little time...and yet, my couch and that Harry Potter book look so inviting.
